St Peter’s School was inspected by Ofsted in January 2008. The school was awarded an overall grading of ‘Outstanding’ the highest that could be achieved. Inspectors noted that:
We are “an outstanding school which gives pupils an excellent start to their education”
“Pupils’ personal development and well-being are outstanding because of the excellent care, guidance and support provided”
“Parents and the inspector agree that pupils are very well prepared for their future lives and almost all achieve exceptionally well”
Ofsted do not routinely inspect Outstanding schools unless concerns are raised. Instead they continue to evaluate different aspects of the school such as pupil’s academic performance and attendance. We are delighted that the performance of the school has been sustained since the last inspection.
We are really proud of our ‘Outstanding’ status but continue to work on ways to further improve the quality of teaching and learning for our children.
Ofsted – PARENT VIEW
Ofsted Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think of your child’s school, including:
– how happy your child is at school
– how the school manages bullying or challenging behaviour
If your child has special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), you can say how well you think the school supports them.
The questionnaire can be completed at any time – you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.
