Our dedicated staff work passionately to ensure each pupil is safe and has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We value our home-school links and we will work in close partnership with you.

For our new Reception parents and carers (no children please at this particular session) with Miss Greenaway, our Headteacher, and members of our Reception staff team.
Saturday 22 June – St Peter’s Schools Family S.T.E.A.M. Fun Day from 1.30pm to 4pm
All of our new Reception families are welcome to attend our Family S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Fun Day. This is an event run by our PTA (Friends of St Peter’s) and will allow you to see the school grounds and meet our community in a relaxed way. There will be lots of exciting S.T.E.A.M. based activities to participate in alongside other traditional fete stalls and a fabulous performance of Maypole dancing by our current Year 2 children to enjoy. You are all warmly invited to attend.
Tuesday 2 July or Wednesday 3 July – Storytime and Tea Party sessions 2-3pm
You will take your child to their new classroom and leave them in the safe hands of their new teacher and teaching assistant to explore their new classroom with their new classmates and enjoy a story together. The sessions will be for 30 minutes with 15 children (half of the class) at a time. We will ask parents and carers to then make your way to our school hall where you will have the opportunity to meet other class parents, purchase new and/or second-hand uniform, and to talk to some of our school staff who your children will be getting to know. Teas/coffees will be available. Teachers will bring the children to the school hall at 2.30pm where they can play with the other children until 3pm. If you are unable to stay please collect your child at 3pm from the front of school.
Tuesday 3 September – Tuesday 10 September – Settling-in sessions
Your children will start school for the few days with a half day session on each day. The sessions will be for the mornings only with 15 children (half of the class) at a time. This allows us to ensure each child is given the care and attention they may need in their first few days. We will then do 2 full day sessions with 15 children (half of the class) on each day. You will notified which sessions your child should attend in your Welcome letter.
All Reception children will start school for full days from Wednesday 11 September
Bring your children to school at 8.45am for their first full day at school with the whole class.
Please contact the School Office via email info@stpetersinfant.org or call 01883 712439 with any questions about your child’s transition schedule.
